Morin Out For Season With Torn Shoulder

hs_hoc_morin_matthewSophomore and USCHO All-Star Matt Morin (Brooklyn Park, MN) will be sidelined for the 2009-2010 season after learning he needs shoulder surgery.  The injury was sustained last season when Morin dislocated his shoulder.  He has been rehabbing all summer long and into this fall.  After small improvements, Morin found out he actually tore a muscle when he dislocated his shoulder last season, requiring surgery.

Matt Morin was pivotal in the Blue Devils success last season.  Morin racked up 10G and 17A for 27pts his freshmen season with the Blue Devils.  He was especially valuable on special teams killing off penalties and getting significant time on the power play.

I would theorize that Morin would have been a 2nd line forward and also been placed on PP2 and PK1 this season.

Morin will likely spend time in the broadcast booth this season analyzing games with Matt Kaskavitch (play-by-play) and Dan Walenski (color)
